Usage Data:

We collect focus session statistics (duration, dates, and streaks) to help you track your progress and build habits. This data is stored locally on your device and is not linked to any personal identity.

Sensitive Permissions (Usage Access):

MindStay requests access to your device's usage statistics (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS). This permission is used exclusively to detect when you leave the focus mode during an active session to provide gentle notifications. We do not collect, store, or share information about which other specific apps you use.

2. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to ensure the app works efficiently and to improve user experience:

  • Google Analytics for Firebase: Used to collect anonymized information about how users interact with the app (e.g., sessions started, buttons clicked). This helps us understand usage patterns and improve performance. No personal information is collected.
  • Google AdMob: We use AdMob to display advertisements (Banners and Rewarded Ads). AdMob may use device identifiers to serve ads. By using this app, you consent to the collection and use of this data by Google for advertising purposes.
  • Google Play Services: Used for the core functionalities of the Android platform.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your focus data (sessions and streaks) is stored locally on your device using an internal database (Room DB). We do not transmit this data to any external servers. Since the data remains on your device, the security of your information depends on your device's security settings.

4. User Rights and Data Deletion

Since we do not collect personal accounts or cloud data, you have full control over your information:

  • You can reset or delete all your focus data at any time by clearing the app's storage in your device settings or by uninstalling the app.

MindStay is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
